Gourmet Food Trucks The Butcher's Son Story
The Butcher’s Son has been a featured food truck at Klyde Warren Park in Downtown Dallas, Tx since 2011. Owner, Sterling Gafford, began working for the company in 2016 as a line-cook and driver and worked his way up to Operations Manager. In May of 2019, the founder of the company, Jon Wagner, turned over ownership to Sterling and Justin Wilson (then Director of Operations). By this time Sterling had seven-years’ experience as a KC-130 Mechanic in the Marine Corps and twelve-years’ experience in the restaurant industry as Bartender, Banquet-Server Quarterback, Line-Cook, Kitchen Manager and Head Chef at myriad restaurants in the DFW.

The Butcher’s Son is evolving. Our vision is to expand into locally sourced, regenerative agriculture to offer the freshest, most nutritious foods humans can make in a 24-hr, chef-driven, farm-to-table, Fast Food Concept. This vision is on the horizon, and every day here at The Butcher’s Son is spent grinding toward that goal for the betterment of our community.
